The E-mail message from Mr. Harald Finster [ February 2, 2005 ]

Hello  Erdogan,

I found your website while looking for photographs of «atalagzi.
Very interesting stuff, especially the photographs showing
industrial buidings!

I have been in the area in 1989, because I was interested in the
industrial history and old railways.
It has been a wonderful experience. I went from Istanbul via
Ankara to Zonguldak by train - a long journey, but very exciting.
I enjoyed to get in touch with the people. Especially the
children in the train were very curious and tried to speak
German using my German-Turkish dictionary - with funny results :-)

If you are interested, you will find a few photographs taken
during my visit at:

(Probably the same bridge, from where you took the photograph
of the station.)

[ I took a photograph of the washing plant (from the bus, going
from Zonguldak to «atalagzi). However, the photograph
with the steam locomotive in front of the plant has been
taken in Armutcuk. ]

Finally, this is more in the South-West near Seldschuk:

With kind regards
